ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Jennifer was born in 1969 and spent her childhood in Santa Cruz, California. She studied fine art and psychology at the University of Oregon and in the process fell in love with Eugene.  She now happily resides in an old school house on the outskirts of Eugene.  She is daily fueled by the exuberant spirits of her black lab, Waymo, Jack Russell Terrier, Jipper, resident woolly lawn-mowers Ari and Sophie, and her not at all barky Chihuahua, Roses.  She gathers daily inspiration from the natural beauty of the Northwest.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

My Passion for jewelry design grew out of my fiber art studies.  Soon after graduating in 1992, I transferred my love of weaving different fibers and colors into the extremely accessible art of weaving precious wire and gemstones.  More recently, my jewelry has reflected my inspiration of combining traditional metal smithing techniques with newly found ways of wire wrapping by creating a soldered frame then using it as a base for my creation. My logo includes a butterfly, a miracle of color, pattern and always transition.  My hope is that my pieces will effect the wearer, reminding them of the intricate beauty and change that is always happening in a subtle, delicate way.
